Oh how I count the ways thou hath gone bad!

There's so much mistakes done here! First mistake...bad choice of fabric. It was unravelling as fast as I was stiching it! So, by the time I attached the ears, there's no more sewing allowance to join the head sides together.

Which prompted me to add the forehead (which btw., made it look like it has a serious case of 'cow' look)...and still the fabric was falling into tatters. So I had to give it a mane just to cover up the gaping hole on top.

Oh well, my only consolidation was, my sister said it looked like a baby loch ness...which is still kinda like a dragon. Haa haa.

Pattern was by :iconsuzywong: and here's the link [link]
Woooo! Look at the difference. [link] =(

He's cute! i love the print so I can see why the fabric would appeal to you.
Just say the stripe is for camouflage when he's on land. Many "real" animals have a dorsal stripe like that.
You could embroider the yes with some yarn, floss, or thread. Making french knots is pretty easy and you could practice on some scrap first. Tons of tuts on the web for them. :)

Great job I say! You completed a stuffie that is 3 dimensional. Not many people can do that so pat yourself on the back!

Oh wow, thanks for the advise. The french knots look very pretty. I might try embroidery instead of the old-fashion buttons.

Yeeeah...haa haa, he has no eyes. Can't seem to find craft shops that sells eye buttons...i don't have much experience with plush making but i THINK that maybe i can use buttons which are like a half sphere shaped with the loop at the bottom as eyes. Problem is, the craft shops here have very sad button collections.

So...no eyes!

^^; maybe draw some eyes on with a marker?.... oh.... wait, it's a Baby LochNess.... :XD: it hasn't opened his eyes yet! :giggle:

 I know which buttons you're talking about, there's a fabric store in town that carries an endless assortment of buttons O__o; I bought this ivory tooth button once -- was going to use it for cosplay, but never made the costume =P
